Chaitra Navratri 2023: According to the Hindu calendar, Navratri comes four times a year. In this, the first Navratri is the Navratri of Chaitra Navratri. The Hindu New Year begins on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. This year Chaitra Navratri is starting from 22nd March, Wednesday, which will continue till 30th March, Thursday. This time the coincidence of the transformation of four planets will be seen on Navratri. Such a coincidence is happening after 110 years. Due to this rare coincidence, this festival of worship of Mother Shakti has become even more special.

Apart from this, this year Navratri will be of full 9 days. That means there is no change or change in the dates of Navratri. It is considered very auspicious to have full 9 days of Navratri.

Auspicious time
Pratipada Tithi will take place at 11:04 in the night of March 21, so Navratri will start with the sunrise on March 22 with the establishment of the Kalash.
This year the arrival of mother is on a boat, which is called happiness-prosperity factor. It is believed that on this day Lord Brahma created the earth. So it becomes even more important.
Establishing the Kalash and worship
Kalash is considered as the form of Lord Vishnu. Kalash is worshiped before the worship of Goddess Durga. Before establishing the Kalash at the place of worship, that place is cleaned with Gangajal, then all the Gods and Goddesses are invited.
On Ashwin Shukla Pratipada Tithi, take a bath early in the morning and take a vow of worship and fasting. After this, decorate the place of worship and keep a post where the urn is filled with water. Then wrap kalava on the kalash. After this apply mango or Ashoka leaves on the mouth of the Kalash. After this wrap the coconut in a red chunri and place it on the urn. After this, invoke Maa Durga by lighting incense, lamps and worship Maa Durga according to the scriptures. After the installation of the Kalash, Ganesh ji and Maa Durga perform aarti, after which the nine-day fast begins.

Worship method
There is a ritual of worshiping Maa Shailputri on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. According to religious beliefs, Mata Shailputri is considered the daughter of Parvatraj Himalaya. It has been told in the scriptures that sadhaks should establish Kalash in auspicious time and then worship Maa Durga. After doing this, worship Mata Shailputri with Vedic chanting. Offer cow’s ghee to Mother Shailputri at the time of worship. Along with this, also keep in mind that during the worship of Mata Shailputri, worshipers should wear only pink, red, queen or orange colored clothes.
