Corona Update: 78 percent new cases registered in 10 states; 62 percent active cases in 5 states

New Delhi: The total number of Covid-19 vaccines being given under the world’s largest vaccination campaign has crossed the figure of 12.71 crores. A total of 12,71,29,113 doses (10,96,59,181 first dose and 1,74,69,932 second dose) of the vaccine were given through 18,83,241 sessions under the interim report released till 7 am today.

This includes 91,70,717 HCW taking the first dose and 57,67,657 HCW taking the second dose, 1,14,32,732 FLW (first dose), 56,86,608 FLW (second dose), 4 taking the first dose over 60 years old. , 66,82,963 and 47,04,601 beneficiaries taking the second dose and 4,23,72,769 (first dose) and 13,11,066 (second dose) beneficiaries from 45 to 60 years of age.

Eight states account for 59.33 percent of the total doses given in the country so far. More than 32 lakh doses of vaccines have been given during the last 24 hours.

32,76,555 doses of the vaccine were given on the 94th day of the vaccination campaign (April 19, 2021). The first dose of vaccine was given to 22,87,419 beneficiaries in 45,856 sessions and second dose to 9,89,136 beneficiaries.

There is an increasing trend in the daily new cases of India. 2,59,170 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours.

77.67 percent new cases have been reported in 10 states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Maharashtra recorded the highest number of 58,924 daily new cases. At the same time, after this, 28,211 new cases were reported in Uttar Pradesh and 23,686 in Delhi.

New cases have increased daily in the 20 states shown below.

Total active cases in India have reached the level of 20,31,977. This is 13.26 percent of the total positive cases in the country. There has been an increase of 1,02,648 in total active cases during the last 24 hours.

The five states Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala account for 62.07 percent of India’s total active cases.

The daily positivity rate (7-day average) has been steadily rising, currently at 15.99 percent.

Today the total number of recovers in India is 1,31,08,582. The national recovery rate is 85.56 percent.

In the last 24 hours, 1,54,761 people recovered.

The national mortality rate is declining and currently it is at the level of 1.18 percent.

In the last 24 hours, 1,761 people died.

82.74 percent of deaths were reported in 10 states. Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths (351). After this 240 people died in Delhi.

There is no report of death of Covid-19 in 9 states / UTs in the last 24 hours. These are – Ladakh (UT), Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Tripura, Sikkim, Mizoram, Lakshadweep, Nagaland, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.
