New Delhi: The declining trend in total active cases in India continues. The number of active cases in the country today has reached 2,77,301. The share of active cases in total positive cases has come down to 2.72 percent. There has been a decline of 1,389 cases in the total number of active cases in the last 24 hours.
For more than a month, the number of patients recovering daily is more than the number of new cases daily. In the last 24 hours, 20,021 people in the country were found positive for Covid. During the same period, 21,131 new patients have been cured. Thus there has been a decrease in the number of active cases.
The number of cured patients has now increased to about 98 lakhs (97,82,669). The recovery rate has also now increased to 95.83 percent. The difference in the number of cured patients and active cases has steadily increased to 95 lakhs today (95,05,368).
Globally, the number of covid cases in the country per one million population is the lowest in the world (7,397). The global average is 10,149. Countries like Russia, England, Italy, Brazil, France, and the United States have a very high number of covid cases per 1 million population.
72.99 percent of newly recovered patients belong to 10 states / UTs.
Most patients have recovered in one day in Kerala. In Kerala, where 3,463 new patients have been cured, 2,124 and 1,740 new patients have been cured in the last 24 hours in Maharashtra and West Bengal respectively.
79.61 percent of new cases are from 10 states and union territories.
There are 4,905 new cases reported daily in Kerala. This number is the highest. After this, 3,314 and 1,435 new cases have been registered in Maharashtra and West Bengal respectively.
279 people have lost their lives during the last 24 hours.
80.29 percent of cases of daily deaths are related to 10 states / UTs. Maharashtra recorded the highest (66) deaths during the last 24 hours. After this, 29 and 25 patients died due to Covid in West Bengal and Kerala respectively.
There is a steady decline in the deaths of daily patients in the country. The death rate in India for every 10 lakh population is 107, which is the lowest in the world, while the global average is 224.
