Corona Update: Above one crore vaccinated in each these states Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, UP

New Delhi: As part of the world’s largest vaccination campaign, the cumulative figure of Covid-19 vaccine dose in the country has crossed the 120 million mark today. According to the provisional report till 7 am today, a total of 12,26,22,590 vaccine doses were given through 18,15,325 sessions.

These include 91,28,146 HCWs who took the first dose and 57,08,223 HCWs who took the second dose, 1,12,33,415 FLWs (first dose) while 55,10,238 FLWs (second dose). The beneficiaries of the first dose over the age of 60 years are 4,55,94,522 and the beneficiaries of the second dose are 38,91,294. The beneficiaries of the first dose between the ages of 45 and 60 are 4,04,74,993 and the beneficiaries of the second dose are 10,81,759.

Eight states account for 59.5 percent of the total doses given in the country so far. Four states Gujarat (1,03,37,448), Maharashtra (1,21,39,453), Rajasthan (1,06,98,771) and Uttar Pradesh (1,07,12,739) have so far made 1-1 crore in their respective states. More people have been vaccinated. Gujarat completed a vaccination campaign of 1 crore people on 16 April, while the other three states achieved it on 14 April.

It took only 92 days for India to reach 120 million vaccinations and in this direction India has become the fastest country in the world. It is followed by America which has taken 97 days and then China (108 days).

More than 26 lakh people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours.

As of the 92nd day of the vaccination campaign (April 17, 2021), a total of 26,84,956 doses of the vaccine were given. In 39,998 sessions, 20,22,599 beneficiaries were vaccinated for the first dose and 6,62,357 beneficiaries were vaccinated for the second dose.

New cases are being recorded daily in India, 2,61,500 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours.

Ten states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan have reported 78.56 percent of new cases.

Maharashtra has the highest number of daily new cases reported at 67,123. After this, 27,334 new cases have been reported in Uttar Pradesh and 24,375 in Delhi.

Sixteen states, as shown below, are exhibiting a trajectory of growth in daily new cases.

The graph below shows the daily check and daily confirmation rate in India. The daily confirmation rate has increased from 8 percent to 16.69 percent in the last 12 days.

The national weekly confirmation rate has increased from 3.05 percent to 13.54 in the last one month. Chhattisgarh recorded the highest weekly confirmation rate of 30.38 percent as compared to other states.

The total number of active cases in India has reached 18,01,316. This now accounts for 12.18 percent of the country’s total confirmed cases. In the last 24 hours, 1,21,576 cases have been reported in total active cases.

The five states Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala account for 65.02 percent of India’s total active cases. Maharashtra alone accounts for 38.09 percent of the country’s total active cases.

The total healthy cases in India today are 1,28,09,643. The national recovery rate is 86.62 percent.

1,38,423 recoveries have been recorded in the last 24 hours.

There have been 1,501 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The percentage of new deaths in ten states is 82.94. Maharashtra recorded the maximum number of deaths (419) while Delhi recorded 167 deaths daily.

In the last 24 hours, no deaths have been reported from nine states / union territories due to Covid-19. These states are Daman and Diu and Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sikkim, Mizoram, Manipur, Lakshadweep, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
