Corona Update: Covid vaccine has been available to about 17 cr people in India

New Delhi: The world community is continuously helping support India’s efforts to meet the challenges and meet the challenges of unprecedented growth in the number of infection cases in the second wave of the Covid epidemic. The Central Government has been continuously ensuring that the allocation and supply of global aid and relief material to the States and Union Territories is carried out effectively and promptly in order to expedite its relief operations during this critical time.

Till date, 6,608 Oxygen Concentrator, 3,856 Oxygen Cylinder, 14 Oxygen Generation Plant, 4,330 Ventilator / By PAP / C PAP and more than 3 Lakh Remedesiver vials have been distributed so far to the States and Union Territories.

The third phase of the nationwide vaccination campaign is moving forward and more than 16.94 crore vaccines have been vaccinated in the country till now.

So far 66.78 percent doses of total vaccination in the country have been given to people from ten states.

2,94,912 beneficiaries aged 18–44 years received the first vaccine vaccine today and a total of 17,84,869 vaccines were administered in 30 states and union territories during the last 24 hours. The table below shows the number of vaccines given for ages 18–44 so far.

In the last 24 hours, more than 2 million people have been vaccinated by Kovid.

On the 113th day of the vaccination campaign (on 08 May 2021), 20,23,532 vaccines were administered. In 16,722 sessions of vaccination, 8,37,695 eligible beneficiaries were given the first dose and 11,85,837 beneficiaries were given the second dose of vaccine.

Till date 1,83,17,404 covid patients have been cured in India. The health rate of Kovid in the country is 82.15 percent.

In the last 24 hours, 3,86,444 covid patients have recovered.

10 states contribute 75.75 percent of the number of patients recovering.

In the last 24 hours, 4,03,738 new patients have appeared.

Ten states have contributed 71.75 percent of new cases in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra has the highest number of 56,578 daily new cases reported. This was followed by 47,563 new patients from Karnataka and 41,971 new patients from Kerala.

A total of more than 30.22 crore samples have been tested across the country so far, while the daily positivity rate is 21.64 percent, as the graph below shows.

The total number of active patients in India has reached 37,36,648. It accounts for 16.76 percent of the total positive cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, an increase of 13,202 cases has been reported in total active cases.

13 States account for 82.94 per cent of the total active cases of India.

Kovid mortality is decreasing in the country and currently it is 1.09 percent.

In the last 24 hours, 4092 Kovid patients have died.

Now, 74.93 percent of the deaths are from ten states. The death toll from this epidemic in Maharashtra is 864. In Karnataka, 482 people died due to this disease.

The number of deaths per million population in 20 states / union territories is less than the national average (176).

Deaths per million population in 16 states / union territories are higher than the national average.

Four states / UTs have not reported any patient deaths from Kovid-19 in the last 24 hours. These are Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Lakshadweep.
