Corona Update: Latest information on Covid relief material

New Delhi: Government of India is receiving international grants and Covid-19 relief medical supplies and equipment from various countries / organizations of the world to further India’s efforts in the unprecedented war against the Covid-19 epidemic.

This series of relief material from abroad has been going on continuously since April 27, 2021. Through a well-organized and well-planned mechanism under the vision of “Sampoorna Sarkar”, various Ministries / Departments of the Government of India have coordinated with each other for speedy delivery of support material from the global community to the States / UTs. .

From April 27, 2021 to May 12, 2021, a total of 9,294 oxygen concentrators, 11,835 oxygen cylinders, 19 oxygen generation plants, 6,439 ventilators / BI PAPs and about 4.22 lakh remodevir injections have been delivered / dispatched.

The countries which have sent major relief materials on 12 May, 2021, mainly include Kuwait, Singapore, Giliad, Swizzlelange, SPAN, Egypt, etc.: –

Remadecivir injection: 86,595
Oxygen concentrator: 4,802
Ventilators: 10
Testing Kit: 141

It is a regular process to effectively allocate and distribute these relief materials in an effective manner to the states / union territories and institutions to which these relief materials are to be delivered. The Union Health Ministry is monitoring it extensively on a regular basis. A dedicated coordination cell has been set up in the Union Ministry of Health for better management of the receipt and allocation of Covid relief materials coming in the form of grants, assistance and donations from abroad. This cell is operational since 26 April 2021. The Union Health Ministry has prepared and implemented a standard operating procedure on 2 May 2021 in this regard.
