Corona Update: Less than 40,000 daily new cases were registered during the last 24 hours

New Delhi: Less than 40,000 daily new cases were reported in India during the last 24 hours. Less than 50,000 cases are coming for eight consecutive days. This is the result of the concerted efforts of the Center and the States/UTs. There is also a steady decline in active cases in India. The total number of active cases in the country as of today stood at 4,82,071.

During the last 24 hours, there was a total decline of 3,279 in the active cases, which is just 1.58 percent of the total positive cases in the country.

The total vaccination coverage in India crossed 35.28 crores yesterday. According to the provisional report received till 7 am today, a total of 35,28,92,046 doses of vaccine were administered through 46,34,986 sessions. A total of 14,81,583 doses were administered during the last 24 hours.

The new chapter of COVID-19 vaccination for all began on June 21, 2021. The Central Government is committed to increase the coverage of Kovid-19 vaccination across the country and speed up the process.

In India, more and more people are recovering from Kovid-19, keeping in mind that now for the 53rd day in a row, the number of people recovering more than the number of new cases remains the same. 42,352 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.

More than two thousand (2,556) people have recovered during the last 24 hours as compared to new cases coming daily.

Of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,97,00,430 people have already recovered from COVID-19, and 42,352 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate from this quote is 97.11 percent, in which the trend of continuous increase is maintained.

The testing capacity in the country is being continuously increased, in connection with which a total of 15,22,504 tests were conducted in the country during the last 24 hours. Basically India has conducted more than 41.97 crore (41,97,77,457) tests so far.

On one hand the testing capacity was increased across the country, while on the other hand the weekly positivity rate also registered a steady decline. At present the weekly positivity rate is 2.40 percent, while today the daily positivity rate is 2.61 percent. It has remained at less than five percent continuously for the last 28 days.
