Corona Update: Number of active cases of Covid-19 in 25 states and union territories below 5000

New Delhi: India has achieved a major achievement in the fight against the Corona epidemic. On a daily basis, new cases of Covid-19 fell to record lows today. Only 12,584 new cases were reported during the last 24 hours after about seven months.

The number of daily new cases on June 18, 2020, was 12,881. Due to the effective strategy adopted by the Center in collaboration with both the society and the government, Covid-19 cases are steadily declining. The number of deaths daily from Covid is also decreasing. In the last 24 hours, 167 people have died from Covid.

The number of active cases of Covid in the country has come down to 2,16,558 today. The number of active cases has further decreased in total positive cases and is limited to 2.07 percent.

Total active cases have decreased by 5,968 during the last 24 hours.

Due to collective efforts at the national level, active cases in 25 states and union territories are less than 5 thousand.

On the other hand, active cases in 32 states and union territories are less than 10 thousand.

The number of positive cases has also decreased with the expansion of investigation facilities.

At the weekly level in the country, positive cases remain at 2.06 percent. The positive cases in 22 states and union territories are less than the national average.

The total number of healthy people has reached more than 1.01 crore today (10,111,294) due to which the rate of recovery has reached 96.49 percent. The number of people recovering from active cases is continuously increasing and at present, the gap has reached 98,94,736.

During the last 24 hours, 18,385 people recover from the infection.

Of these, new cases of recovery of 80.50 percent were from 10 states and union territories.

Maharashtra ranked first in terms of being the most healthy in a day. Here 4,286 people got healthy in a day. Kerala ranked second with 3,922 such cases and Chhattisgarh at number three with 1,255 cases.

Seven states and union territories accounted for 70.08 percent of new cases.

During the last 24 hours, Kerala reported the highest number of new daily 3,110 cases. Maharashtra came second with 2,438 such cases while 853 new cases were reported in Chhattisgarh yesterday.

Of the 167 cases of deaths from Corona during the last 24 hours, 62.28 percent were from five states and union territories.

In Maharashtra, 40 people died of the corona, 20 in Kerala, and 16 in West Bengal.

A total of 96 people have been infected in the country so far with the new type of coronavirus found in Britain. No other such cases have come to light during the last 24 hours.
