Corona Update: Over 2.19 lakh patients recovered in last 24 hours

New Delhi: As part of the world’s largest vaccination campaign, the total number of vaccinators for Kovid-19 in the country today has crossed the figure of 13.83 crore.

According to the provisional report till 7 am today, a total of 13,83,79,832 vaccine doses were given through 19,80,105 sessions. These include 92,68,027 HCWs who have taken the first dose and 59,51,076 HCWs who have taken the second dose. 1,18,51,655 FLW has been given the first dose while 61,94,851 FLW has been given the second dose. The first dose has been given to 4,91,45,265 beneficiaries over the age of 60 years and the second dose to 71,65,338 beneficiaries. The first dose has been given to 4,66,71,540 beneficiaries aged 45 to 60, the second dose to 21,32,080 beneficiaries.

Eight states account for 58.92 percent of the total doses given so far in the country.

More than 29 lakh people were vaccinated in the last 24 hours.

As of the 98th day of the vaccination campaign (April 23, 2021), in 26,927 sessions 18,63,024 beneficiaries were given 29,01,412 doses as the first dose while 1038388 beneficiaries were given the second dose of the vaccine.

The total number of healthy patients in India today is 1,38,67,997. The national recovery rate is 83.49 percent.

Ten states account for 82.94 percent of the newly recovered cases.

3,46,786 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours.

Ten states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan have reported 74.15 percent of new cases.

Maharashtra has the highest number of daily new cases reported at 66,836. After this, 36,605 new cases have been reported in Uttar Pradesh and 28,447 in Kerala.

The total number of active cases in India has reached 25,52,940. It now covers 15.37 percent of the country’s total confirmed cases. The total number of active cases in the last 24 hours was 1,24,324.

Seven states Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Kerala account for 66.66 percent of India’s total active cases.

The national mortality rate is declining and currently it is 1.14 percent.

2,624 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours.

The share of new deaths from ten states is 82.28 percent. The maximum number of deaths (773) has been recorded in Maharashtra. There are 348 deaths daily in Delhi.

Eleven states / union territories have not reported any death due to Kovid-19 in the last 24 hours. These include Ladakh (UT), Daman and Diu and Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Lakshadweep, Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.
