Corona Update: Over 2.19 lakh people recovered from Covid-19 disease in last 24 hours

New Delhi: As per the largest vaccination campaign in the world, the total number of doses of Covid-19 vaccine given in India today has exceeded 14.19 crore. Also, the vaccination campaign completed 100 days yesterday. According to the provisional report received till 7 am today, a total of 14,19,11,223 doses of Covid vaccine have been given through 20,44,954 sessions. The total number of immunization beneficiaries includes 92,98,092 HCWs who have undergone the first dose of the vaccine, and 60,08,236 HCWs who have taken the second dose of the vaccine. Apart from this, 1,19,87,192 FLWs taking the first dose, 63,10,273 FLWs taking the second dose, 4,98,72,209 taking the first dose over 60 years of age and 79,23,295 beneficiaries taking the second dose. As well as 4,81,08,293 first-dose and 24,03,633 second-dose beneficiaries between 45 and 60 years of age.

Eight states account for 58.78 percent of the total doses given in the country so far.

Nearly 1 million doses of the vaccine have been given during the last 24 hours.

A dose of 9,95,288 vaccines of Covid-19 was given on the 100th day of the vaccination campaign (April 25, 2021). Out of this, 6,85,944 beneficiaries were given the first dose through 11,984 sessions and the second dose of vaccine was given to 3,09,344 beneficiaries.

Till date, a total of 1,43,04,382 covid patients have been cured in India. The national recovery rate is 82.62 percent. 2,19,272 covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours.

10 states account for 78.98 percent of the number of patients recovering from the disease.

In the last 24 hours, 3,52,991 new cases of Covid-19 infection have been registered.

74.5% cases of new infections are being reported in 10 states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Maharashtra has the highest number of 66,191 daily new cases reported. After this, Uttar Pradesh is second with 35,311 cases, while 34,804 new cases have been reported in Karnataka.

The total number of active cases in India has increased to 28,13,658. This number is 16.25 percent of the total infected cases in the country. The total number of active cases has increased by 1,30,907 cases during the last 24 hours.

Eight states – Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Kerala – together account for 69.67 percent of India’s total active cases.

The national death rate associated with Covid is falling and is currently 1.13 percent.

2,812 Covid patients have died during the last 24 hours. 10 states account for 79.66 percent of new deaths. Maharashtra had the highest number of deaths at 832, followed by Delhi with the highest at 350 deaths.

No patients have died of Covid in five states / union territories during the last 24 hours. The names of these states / union territories are Daman Diu and Dadar Nagar Haveli, Tripura, Lakshadeep, Mizoram and Andaman-Nicobar Islands.
