Coverage of Covid-19 vaccination in India crosses 48 crores

New Delhi: The coverage of the Covid-19 vaccination in India has crossed 48 crores yesterday. According to the provisional report received till 7 am today, a total of 48,52,86,570 doses of vaccine were administered through a total of 56,83,682 sessions. A total of 62,53,741 doses were administered during the last 24 hours.

The new chapter of COVID-19 vaccination for all began on June 21, 2021. The Central Government is committed to increasing the coverage of Kovid-19 vaccination across the country and speed up the process.

Of the people infected since the beginning of the epidemic, 3,09,33,022 people have already recovered from Kovid-19, and 36,668 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate from this quote is 97.37 percent.

During the last 24 hours 42,625 daily new cases were registered in India.

For 38 consecutive days, less than 50 thousand daily cases are coming. This is the result of concerted and sustained efforts of the Center and the States/UTs.

The number of active cases in India has been recorded at 4,10,353, which is now 1.29 percent of the total positive cases in the country.

The testing capacity in the country is being continuously increased, in connection with which a total of 18,47,518 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours in the country. Basically India has conducted more than 47.31 crore (47,31,42,307) tests so far.

On one hand the testing capacity was increased across the country, while on the other hand the weekly positivity rate is 2.36 percent. Today the daily positivity rate stood at 2.31 percent. The daily positivity rate has remained below five per cent for 58 consecutive days.
