Covid Vaccination: More than 11 million doses of the Covid vaccinated till now in India

New Delhi: The total number of doses of Covid-19 vaccine given on the fourth day of the Tika festival has exceeded 11 crore. According to the provisional report received till 7 am today, a total of 11,11,79,578 doses of Covid vaccine have been given through 16,53,488 sessions.

The total number of vaccination beneficiaries includes 90,48,686 HCWs who have taken the first dose of the vaccine, and 55,81,072 HCWs who have taken the second dose of the vaccine. In addition, 1,01,36,430 FLW for the first dose, 50,10,773 FLW for the second dose, 4,24,66,3541 for the first dose over 24 years of age and 24 for the second dose. There are 67,4842 beneficiaries as well as 3,56,50,444 8,18,335 taking the first dose and 45 to 60 years old taking the second dose.

During the last 24 hours, more than 4 million doses of the vaccine have been given. On the 88th day of the vaccination campaign (April 13, 2021), 26,46,528 vaccine doses were given. Out of this, 22,58,910 beneficiaries were given the first dose through 44,643 sessions and 3,87,618 beneficiaries were given the second dose of vaccine.

Another achievement was achieved today according to the country’s decision to end Covid’s cases. The number of Covid tests in the country has crossed the 26 crore level. During the last 24 hours, 14,11,758 trials were conducted. Testing capacity has been increased to 1.5 million tests per day. There is a steady increase in new cases daily in India. During the last 24 hours, 1,84,372 new cases have been registered.

10 states- Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan have recorded an increase in daily new cases of Covid. 82.04 percent new cases have been registered in these states only. Maharashtra recorded the highest number of 60,212 new cases yesterday. After this, 17,963 new cases have been reported in Uttar Pradesh and 15,121 in Chhattisgarh.

The total number of active cases in India has increased to 13,65,704. This number is 9.84 percent of the total infected cases in the country. The total number of active cases has increased by 1,01,006 cases during the last 24 hours. The 5 states – Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala – together account for 68.16 percent of the total active cases in India. Maharashtra alone accounts for 43.54 percent of the total active cases of the country.

Till date, a total of 1,23,36,036 Covid patients have been cured in India. The national recovery rate is 88.92 percent. 82,339 covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours.

During the last 24 hours 1,027 Covid patients have died. 10 states account for 86.08 percent of new deaths. Maharashtra has the highest number of 281 people killed, while 156 Covid patients died in Chhattisgarh yesterday.

No patient has died of Covid in 11 states / union territories during the last 24 hours. The names of these states / union territories are Ladakh, Daman Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Lakshadeep, Andaman-Nicobar Deep Group and Arunachal Pradesh.
