Taking a sarcasm at Banerjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that TMC supremo’s appeal to Muslims is afraid that minority votes are slipping from her hand. Modi also said that a similar appeal of Hindus by her party has drawn the ire of the media and the Election Commission.
Saying that Banerjee has problems with people applying ’tilak’ and wearing saffron, Modi said her displeasure indicates that she has already lost the election.
