Google is offering a free one-year subscription of its AI Pro plan exclusively for eligible college students in India. Priced at Rs 19,500, this AI Pro plan provides access to Google’s advanced AI tools that students can use to help with homework, writing, and video creation.
Under this offer, Indian students aged 18 years and above can get free access to the Google AI Pro plan for 12 months. This subscription includes several premium features, such as Gemini 2.5 Pro and Veo 3, which is its video creation AI model. The plan also includes 2TB of cloud storage and AI features in Gmail, Docs, and other Google apps.
Google emphasises that the AI Pro plan is designed to help students with a variety of uses, from studying and research to job interview preparation and creative ideas. Some of its AI-powered tools and services include:
Homework help and exam preparation: Analyze textbooks up to 1,500 pages with AI assistance.
Study help: Analyze long textbooks (up to 1,500 pages), get help preparing for exams, and understanding complex topics.
Writing tools: Prepare drafts, refine essays, and organize ideas.
Video creation: Convert text and images into short videos using Google’s Veo 3 system.
NotebookLM: Advanced research features with more audio and document summaries.
Gemini integration: Direct AI assistance in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and other apps.

How students can get free Google AI Pro
Google has stated that its free subscription plan is available only to students who meet the eligibility criteria and successfully verify their student status.
To avail this offer, students will need to verify their status. The verification process works as follows:
Visit the Google One student offer page.
Fill in the required information such as school name, full name, and date of birth.
Provide documents, if requested, to prove enrollment at a recognized institution.
After verification, subscribe to the AI Pro plan through the Google Play Store.
Note that the last date to avail this offer is September 15, 2025, and it is only available to users who do not currently have an active or higher-tier Google One subscription.
Meanwhile, Google has also mentioned the eligibility conditions and requirements for the offer. These include:
The student must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be a resident of India.
Use a personal Google account (supervised accounts are not eligible).
Provide a valid school email or proof of enrollment when requested.
Not subscribed through a third-party platform.
Have a valid payment method added to their Google Payments account (for billing purposes after the trial).
Google points out that although the offer is completely free for the first year, students must cancel it before the trial period ends to avoid automatic billing at standard rates. After the free period, the subscription will renew, unless it is manually cancelled.
