Here’s Why Twitter making fun of former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan and Rahul Gandhi?

Citing the country’s robust 7.2 per cent annual economic growth, the BJP on Thursday hit out at Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Raghuram Rajan by sharing an old video in which the former RBI governor said ‘India is on course to achieve 5% growth’. would be lucky to next year’.

Sharing the video on Twitter, BJP’s Amit Malviya wrote, “Raghuram Rajan, in this dated conversation (2022) with Rahul Gandhi, sounded less like an economist and more like Rajdeep Sardesai, when he said, ‘India Would be lucky to do 5%. Addressing a press conference, BJP leader and former Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that Gandhi’s claim of spreading the message of love amidst alleged hatred was just an excuse for him as his priority was India’s development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Hitting out at the former Congress president, he said, “GDP figures have exposed the lies of your hate market.”

Citing a conversation between Gandhi and the former RBI governor, Prasad said the opposition leader had claimed that India’s exports were slowing down and the country would be lucky with five per cent growth. Describing Gandhi as a paranormal expert, he claimed, “Every prediction of the sponsored expert has been proved wrong.”

Prasad said India has achieved record exports of $770 billion, while its inflation is at 4.7 per cent, the lowest among major economies.

The BJP leader said, “He is traveling abroad claiming that he has brought a message of love… He is actually spreading a market of hatred, mistrust and pessimism against India’s development journey.” Lack of faith in India’s growth story”.

The former law minister said Gandhi has made it his goal to defame India’s genius and progress. He also cited the recent Morgan Stanley report, which talks in favor of the transformation of the Indian economy in the last 10 years, to target Gandhi.

India’s economy is set to grow by 6.1 per cent in the January-March quarter of 2022-23, taking the annual growth rate to 7.2 per cent due to better performance by agriculture, manufacturing, mining and construction sectors, official data showed on Wednesday.
