New Delhi: The Indian government has banned 43 mobile apps. Under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, the government has banned 43 mobile apps. The reason behind banning these apps is that India’s sovereignty, integrity, defense, security and public order are threatened by these apps.
It is worth noting that earlier, the central government had banned many apps of Chinese mobile companies, including TicketLock and UC, as a threat to security and unity. This step of ban on Chinese mobile companies was taken by the Indian government for the first time at a time when tensions with China on LAC are at peak.
