Marathi veteran actor Satish Joshi passes away

Veteran Marathi TV actor Satish Joshi tragically passed away while performing on stage during an event on May 12. He was invited to an event where he came on stage and collapsed while performing. Joshi, a renowned Marathi theater artist, was widely known for his acting skills.

The incident took place around 11 pm at a Brahmin gathering in Girgaum, after which Joshi fell ill and was immediately taken to Harikrishna Das Hospital. Unfortunately, he breathed his last shortly after.

Expressing grief on Facebook, his friend Rajesh Deshpande said in Marathi, “Our senior friend, actor Satish Joshi passed away tragically during today’s celebration. Before this he was also acting in the play ‘Om Shanti Om’. This incident did not happen during the production of Srijan D’s program and media representatives should not pay attention to it as it has already been publicized by someone.”

Joshi was a veteran of the Marathi industry, having made significant contributions to both the big screen and the theater circuit. His performance in Bhagyalakshmi received widespread praise from critics, showcasing his talent and versatility as an actor.
