Melania Trump breaks the tradition of giving an official walkthrough to the next First Lady Jill Biden

Washington [United States], January 19: For the first time in US history, First Lady Melania Trump has not invited the White House’s next First Lady, Jill Biden, for an official walkthrough to the private living quarters and third floors.

According to an article by Kate Anderson Browner at CNN, while Melania has given up on the tradition, Bess Truman and Mami Eisenhower hosted Laura Bush’s meet-up meeting, where Jenna and Barbara Bush let Sasha and Malia Obama how to slide down the banister in the Residence. The residency, in a visit where Michelle Obama invited Melania Trump even after Donald Trump questioned her husband’s citizenship, has long been one of the first lady’s many unwritten obligations to the tradition.

Earlier, President Donald Trump also went against the old tradition by not calling his successor President-elect Joe Biden before the inauguration.

According to a report by The Hill, Trump will depart Washington, D.C. At the inauguration, Vice President Mike Pence will attend the ceremony.

On January 6, a group of Trump supporters staged protests on the US Capitol to confirm legislators from the battlegrounds to oppose legislators.

Trump gave a speech among thousands of supporters reiterating his claim that a massive voter fraud robbed his electoral victory and encouraged supporters to maintain support to “stop piracy.”

The riots killed five people, including a police officer as well as an Air Force veteran and Trump supporter who was shot and killed by police.

After the event, a total of 10 Republicans broke ranks with the GOP along with their Democrat colleagues to vote in the impeachment motion, unlike the year 2020, when not a single Republican voted for Trump’s impeachment
