Mumbai heavy rainfall again, local trains cancelled

Mumbai: Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai again heavy rainfall from last night there were water logging all the places and roads are flooded. A local called Mumbai’s Lifeline was completely down due to water on the track. Many areas were completely submerged and passengers were also stranded at the railway station due to water logging.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, suburban Mumbai saw 23.4 mm of rain on Tuesday, which is 129 percent more than the normal rainfall. The Meteorological Department believes that Mumbai will be cloudy today and there is a possibility of heavy rain. Due to heavy rains in Mumbai, the operation of local trains has been canceled.

The video released by the agency ANI showed that Mumbai’s Nair hospital was flooded after heavy rains. It is a Covid-19 dedicated hospital. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai city received 173 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Western Railway told the news agency that due to incessant rains and water logging, traffic on all lines in the Mumbai suburban section between Churchgate and Dadar has been suspended since 8.15 this morning. Waterlogging is the cause of rain in many areas across Mumbai. Grant Road to Charni Road, Lower Parel to Prabhadevi, Dadar to Matunga, Matunga to Mahim. Special trains have been rescheduled: Western Railway.

Mumbai has been completely submerged can be seen in pictures and videos footage, .There is water up to the knees on the roads. The movement of people from trains to people has become difficult.
