New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday issued new guidelines for surveillance, prevention and caution against the corono virus. In which it has been said that strict rules should be followed in the areas where the ban is imposed. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also directed states and union territories to take precautions and control congestion in crowded places. The guidelines issued will be effective from December 1, 2020 and remain in force until December 31.

During the Chief Ministers’ meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review the situation of Corona in the country, for Home Minister Amit Shah’s’ Dynamic Containment Areas’, the Ministry has asked states and UTs to demarcate control areas at a smaller level. Ensure by district officials. Corona regulations and prevention measures set by the Ministry of Health need to be strictly followed in the delimited area. The ministry said in a statement that strict perimeter will be controlled to ensure that there is no movement of people in or outside these areas, maintaining the supply of essential goods and services.

The government said that based on its assessment of the status of Kovid-19, states and UTs can only impose local restrictions like night curfews in prohibited areas. Prior to implementing any type of local lockdown outside the prohibited areas, the governments of states, UTs will have to seek permission from the Center.

According to the government guidelines, only necessary activities will be allowed in the containment zone. Local district, police and municipal officials will be responsible for ensuring this. Also, they will have to strictly follow the rules of Containment Zone. While the states and union territories will decide the accountability of the officials concerned. The government said that states and union territories are also required to follow the rules of social distancing in offices. In cities where the weekly positivity rate is more than 10 percent, strictly follow the respective state / UT social distancing and other rules.
