Nitish Kumar’s tongue slips in Patna rally

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday mistakenly said he wishes Narendra Modi to become the chief minister again instead of saying “Prime Minister”.

Kumar was campaigning for the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Patna.

“Our wish is that we win more than 400 seats across the country and Narendra Modi ji becomes the chief minister again. The country should develop, Bihar should develop, everything should happen.”

The 73-year-old leader was quickly corrected by other leaders on the stage when he realised his mistake. He then clarified his statement and stressed that he meant that Narendra Modi should remain the Prime Minister and take the country forward.

Nitish Kumar said, “Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister. We are saying that he should move forward. This is what we want.
