Nora Fatehi thanked PM Modi for helping her homeland Morocco’s devastating earthquake

Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi thanked India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi for offering help and support following the devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake in her homeland Morocco that killed over 2,000 people.

PM Modi wrote on Twitter on Saturday, “Deeply saddened by the loss of life and property due to earthquake in Morocco. My thoughts are with the people of Morocco at this sad time. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover as soon as possible. India is ready to provide all possible assistance to Morocco in this difficult time.

The Bollywood actress and dancer reshared PM Modi’s tweet on Instagram and wrote, “Thank you Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this huge support! You were one of the first countries to raise awareness and extend a helping hand! Moroccan people are very grateful and grateful! Jai Hind.”

Earlier, reacting to this news, Nora had written, ‘Today’s news of the earthquake in Morocco is very devastating! I am just seeing how many cities have been affected and many people have lost their lives. My heart hurts for everyone right now.”

She further added, “I am praying for everyone’s safety! This is very scary. I thank God that our friends and family are safe! My condolences to anyone who has lost a loved one! Alaihafadkom ya Rab.”

More than 2,000 people have died after a deadly earthquake struck Morocco late Friday evening, according to Al Jazeera.

Following the 6.8-magnitude earthquake that killed more than 2,012 people and injured 2,059 others while leaving many homeless, authorities on Saturday declared three days of national mourning in the country.

Morocco’s King Mohammed VI directed the armed forces to deploy specialized search and rescue teams and a surgical field hospital, according to an army statement.
