Oxygen Express has so far delivered a total of 510 metric tonnes of oxygen to Delhi, UP, Maha and MP

New Delhi: Indian Railways are on a journey to deliver liquid medical oxygen to various parts of the country. So far, more than 510 MT of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) has been delivered to Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi.

The Haryana government has also requested the Indian Railways for the Oxygen Express. Currently, the empty tankers are being loaded in Faridabad, which will be sent to Rourkela for filling. As per the plan so far, 2 Oxygen Express with a capacity of 5 tankers will be run exclusively for Haryana.

Madhya Pradesh received its first Oxygen Express this morning with more than 64 metric tons of liquid medical oxygen. These tankers were landed at various places in Madhya Pradesh. These include 1 tanker in Jabalpur, 2 tankers in Bhopal and 3 tankers in Sagar.

The fourth Oxygen Express for Lucknow will reach Lucknow today with three LMO tankers. Another empty rack (sixth) is on its way from Lucknow to Bokaro, which will bring another set of oxygen tankers supplying oxygen to Uttar Pradesh. Oxygen Express is ensuring uninterrupted oxygen supply to the residents of the state in a continuous manner to Uttar Pradesh.

Indian Railways has so far delivered 202 MT to Uttar Pradesh, 174 MT to Maharashtra, 70 MT to Delhi and 64 MT to Madhya Pradesh.
