Currently, under KMS procurement operation, paddy worth Rs 96891.46 crore has been purchased and about 66.48 lakh farmers have been benefited from this.

In addition, 51.66 lakh metric tonnes of pulses under the Price Support Scheme (PSS) from the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh for the Kharif Marketing Season 2020 based on the proposal from the states And approval was granted for the purchase of oilseeds. In addition, the purchase of 1.23 lakh metric tonnes of copra (perennial crop) was also approved for the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Approval will also be given for pulses, oilseeds and copra on receipt of proposals for purchase from other state / UTs under PSS so that the notified MSP for the year 2020-21 in case the market rate falls below the MSP during the notified crop period. The procurement of FAQ grade of these crops can be done by the Central Nodal Agencies through designated procurement agencies on behalf of the State directly from the registered farmers in the respective States / Union Territories.

As of 05.01.2021, the government through its nodal agencies has procured 274149.62 MT of moong, urad, groundnut pods and soyabean with an MSP value of Rs 1466.64 crore benefiting 146765 farmers from Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana and Rajasthan. Has happened.

Similarly, 5089 MT of copra (perennial crop) has been procured at 05.01.2021 at an MSP value of Rs 52.40 crore, benefiting 3961 farmers from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu as compared to 293.34 MT copra purchased during the same period last year. The procurement process of seed cotton (cotton) under MSP is going smoothly in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Karnataka.
