PM Modi laid the foundation stone of ‘Banas Dairy Sankul’ at UP State Industrial Development Authority Food Park, Karkhian, Varanasi. Spread over 30 acres of land, the dairy will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 475 crore and will have the facility to process 5 lakh liters of milk per day.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Biogas-based power generation plant for Milk Producers Cooperative Union Plant, Ramnagar, Varanasi. This Milk Producers Cooperative Union Plant will be an important step towards making the plant energy self-reliant.
PM Modi will also launch a portal and logo dedicated to the Conformity Assessment Scheme for milk products developed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) with the help of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
“The integrated logo, which will have both BIS and NDDB quality marks, will simplify the certification process for the dairy sector and assure the public about the quality of the dairy product,” the PMO said.
“In another effort to ease land ownership issues at the grassroots level, the Prime Minister will distribute ‘Gharauni’, a rural housing rights record under the ownership scheme of the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj, to over 20 lakh residents of Uttar Pradesh,” it said. added.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate several urban development projects in Varanasi. These include six projects for the redevelopment of old Kashi wards, a parking and ground floor park at Beniyabagh, beautification of two ponds, a sewage treatment plant at village Ramna and provision of advanced surveillance cameras at 720 locations under the Smart City Mission.
Projects in the education sector to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister include the Inter-University Center for Teacher Education of the Union Ministry of Education, built at a cost of about Rs 107 crore, and a Teacher Education Center at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies. 7 crore plus cost. To boost the tourism potential of the holy city, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate Phase-I of the Tourism Development Project related to Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Mandir, Seer Govardhan, Varanasi.
Other projects being inaugurated by the Prime Minister include International Rice Research Institute, a speed breeding facility at South Asia Regional Center Varanasi, a Regional Reference Standards Laboratory at village Payakpur and an Advocate Bhawan in Tehsil Pindra.
