Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to a hospital in New Delhi due to unbearable abdominal pain. He was admitted to a private hospital in New Delhi on Tuesday night. Sources claim that days after drinking ‘contaminated’ water from a reservoir on Sunday, Mann started experiencing stomach aches.

He was taken to the hospital on Tuesday night. However, the Punjab administration has denied the Chief Minister’s stay in the hospital. On the contrary, the administration officials claim that the Chief Minister is healthy.

Mann visited Lodhi town of Sultanpur on Sunday to mark the 22nd anniversary of restoring the Kali Ben reservoir. He drank a glass of water from that reservoir during the tree plantation program there. In Punjab the water body is known as sacred. Sources claim that after this the Chief Minister started having stomach ache from Tuesday.

According to sources, Mann was taken from the chief minister’s residence in Chandigarh to a private hospital in New Delhi after falling ill at night. A 48-year-old man is undergoing treatment there. However, the Chief Minister’s Office has said nothing about this. However, the government had released pictures of Mann drinking a glass of wine. Its video also went viral. It was said in the statement of the government that the CM planted a sapling on the bank of the bay and also drank water from the drain.
