Rahul Gandhi turns to (Kulies) porters at Anand Vihar railway station

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke to porters at Anand Vihar railway station here on Thursday. Gandhi was also seen wearing the porters’ trademark red shirt and carrying luggage on his head. After this he sat with the porters and tried to know their problems.

In a post on Twitter along with a photo of Gandhi interacting with porters, Congress said, “Jananayak Rahul Gandhi ji met his porter friends at Anand Vihar railway station in Delhi today. Recently a video had gone viral in which porter friends of the railway station had expressed their desire to meet him.”

The party said, “Today Rahul ji reached among them and listened to them… Bharat Jodo Yatra continues.”

“Today met the porter brothers working at Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi,” Gandhi said in a post on Instagram.

The former Congress chief further said, ‘I had this desire in my mind for a long time and he had called me very lovingly – and the wish of the hardworking brothers of India should be fulfilled at any cost.’

Gandhi has been interacting with various sections of the society from mechanics to students, he said, adding that his Bharat Jodo Yatra, which he conducted from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, will continue with these interactions.

He recently visited Ladakh and interacted with various social groups.
