New Delhi: Indian Railways has launched a fully digital online human resource management system (HRMS). Human Resource Management System (HRMS) is a high priority project of Indian Railways to take advantage of improvement in productivity and employee satisfaction. This is a step towards realizing the competence and improvement of the railway system and the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. HRMS will have a big impact on the functioning of all employees and employees will be able to keep more and more knowledge about technology.

The Chairman and CEO of Railway Board, Vinod Kumar Yadav, today launched the following modules of HRMS and User Depot for railway employees and pensioners through video conferencing.

The Employee Volunteering (ESS) module enables railway employees to interact with various modules of HRMS including communication related to data conversion.

Through the Provident Fund (PF) Advance Module, railway employees will be able to see their PF balance and apply online for PF Advance.

All the payment process of employees retiring from the settlement module has gone digital. Employees can fill their settlement / pension booklet online. The Electronic Service Record module has brought the service records of employees to digital format. The Annual Performance Report (APAR) module has digitized the process of writing the performance performance of all 12 lakh non-gazetted railway employees. The Office Order module deals with issuing office orders and updating the data related to new employee joining, promotion transfers and retirement.
