Railways will run 150 extra trains to maintain social distancing

New Delhi: In view of the needs of passengers in the Corona era, Indian Railways is going to run 40 new trains from tomorrow. Now, keeping in mind the problem of local passengers in this chain and for their safe journey, Western Railway has decided to run 150 new extra local trains from Monday. Out of these, 59 trains will be operated during congestion. Western Railway currently runs 350 local services a day for Daily Walkers. Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Sumit Thakur said, “We will run 150 more local trains from September 21 so that passengers can maintain social distance.”

Western Railway was earlier operating 350 suburban service trains, but Corona is running in time and in view of the increasing number of passengers, the Railways has decided to run 150 extra trains. The Railways said on this decision that the corona infection is spreading rapidly and with this the number of passengers is increasing rapidly. Keeping this in mind, it was decided to increase the daily special suburban services.

Let us tell you that from tomorrow ie from 21 September, Indian Railways is starting to operate 40 trains, most of these trains will be for the state of Bihar. To travel in these new 40 trains, passengers have to book 10 days in advance. Travelers need to remember that ticket booking will be done for travel within ten days only.
