Senior Congress leader Motilal Vora passed away, PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi pay tribute

new Delhi. Senior Congress leader Motilal Vora has passed away. Vora breathed her last at the age of 93 at the Fortis Escort Hospital in Delhi. He was infected with the Coronavirus only a few weeks ago and was discharged after being admitted to AIIMS for several days. Whereas Vora, considered a veteran Congress leader, has been paid homage by Rahul Gandhi, terming it as a never-ending leader. Apart from this, PM Narendra Modi also paid Vora tribute.

PM Narendra Modi tweeted that – Motilal Vora Ji was among the senior-most Congress leaders who had extensive administrative and organizational experience in political career for decades. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and well-wishers.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, expressing sorrow over his death, tweeted, ‘Vora Ji was a true Congressman and a great person. We will feel the lack of them. I have affection and condolences to his family and friends.

Motilal Vora has been included in the old stalwarts and has been associated with the Congress in organizations and governments for 50 years. Vora, who was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, began his political journey in the 1960s and was initially associated with a socialist-minded party, but then came to the Congress in 1970 and held high positions in the Congress party and the state government. Later also reached the Rajya Sabha.
