Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra arrested, accused of making pornographic films

New Delhi: Shocking news is coming out of the Bollywood industry. Raj Kundra, the husband of actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, was arrested on July 19 in a case related to the production of pornography. The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police arrested Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra on Monday night. He has been arrested for making obscene films and releasing them on the app. He has been made the main accused by the police in this case. In February this year, a case was registered for making obscene films and releasing them through the app.

In a media statement, Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale confirmed that Kundra has been arrested. He said in the statement, “In February 2021, a case has been registered in Crime Branch Mumbai for making pornographic films and publishing them through the app. We have arrested Raj Kundra in this case on 19th July as he seems to be the main conspirator.

An ANI report quoted Mumbai Police as saying that the crime branch’s property cell has so far arrested a total of 11 people, including Kundra, in the same case.

Soon after his arrest, he was taken to JJ Hospital for medical examination in the early hours of Tuesday. He was later taken to the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office where he would be taken into custody.

Kundra has been booked for allegedly under sections 420 cheating, 34 common intention as well as 292 and 293 of the Indian Penal Code to commit obscene acts in public places and display obscene books or literature in public or Broadcasting and charges under the Information Technology Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

Kundra is to be produced in the Metropolitan Magistrate’s court today.

While no official statement has been issued by Kundra or his wife Shetty Kundra yet, Kundra is busy promoting his big Bollywood comeback ‘Hungama 2’, which coincidentally this Friday, July 23 on a streaming platform in India But about to be released.
