So far more than 43 crore people have been tested for Covid in the country

New Delhi: India’s overall vaccination coverage exceeds 37.60 crores. As per the interim report till 7 pm today, a total of 37,60,32,586 vaccine doses have been administered through 48,33,797 sessions. 37,23,367 doses of vaccine were given during the last 24 hours.

The new phase of universalization of Covid-19 vaccination started from 21 June 2021. The Central Government is committed to accelerate the pace of COVID-19 vaccination and widen its coverage across the country.

41,506 daily new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Less than 50,000 daily new cases are being reported for fourteen consecutive days. It is the result of continuous and collective efforts of the Center and the States and Union Territories.

The number of active cases in India today is 4,54,118 and active cases are now only 1.47 percent of the total positive cases in the country.

Since the start of this pandemic, 2,99,75,064 people have already been cured of COVID-19 and 41,526 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours. Due to this, the recovery rate of patients has increased to 97.20 percent, in which a trend of continuous increase is visible.

With the increase in testing capacity across the country, a total of 18,43,500 tests were conducted in the country during the last 24 hours. In all, over 43 crores (43,08,85,470) tests have been conducted in India so far.

While the testing capacity has been increased across the country, there is a continuous decrease in the weekly case positivity rate. The weekly positivity rate is currently 2.32 percent while the daily positivity rate is 2.25 percent today. The daily positivity rate has remained less than 3 percent for 20 consecutive days and less than 5 percent for 34 consecutive days.
