Tehsildar panicked after finding anti corruption team at the door, burned 20 lakh rupees on the gas stove

New Delhi: A shocking case of burning bribe money has come to light in Sirohi district of Rajasthan. When something happened on Wednesday, when the Anti Corruption Bureau team reached raiding the house of Kalpesh Jain, Tehsildar of Pindwara, he locked himself inside the house and started burning a sum of Rs 20 lakh in the stove with his wife.

Not only this, when he was setting notes on fire with his wife, the video of this incident was created by the team of Anti Corruption Bureau. A sensational video has also surfaced of the incident, in which the tehsildar is seen burning notes with his wife.

Officials said a tehsildar locked himself inside the residence and allegedly burnt notes worth Rs 15-20 lakh after the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a revenue inspector taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. The incident took place in Sirohi district on Wednesday night.

DG (ACB) BL Soni said that the accused Tehsildar Kalpesh Jain had demanded an amount of one lakh rupees through Revenue Inspector Parbat Singh to get the complainant to get the contract for natural produce amla bark in Pindwada. He said that accused Parbat Singh has been arrested red handed taking a bribe of Rs one lakh from the complainant. The officer said that when the ACB team reached Singh’s residence with Singh, they closed all the doors and started burning the note to prevent the team from going inside.

The ACB team somehow entered the house with the help of local police and recovered the burnt notes in the kitchen. During the search at the residence of the Tehsildar, one and a half lakh rupees of cash was also recovered. Soni said that both Parvat Singh and Kalpesh Kumar Jain have been arrested. He said that the search of the residence and other places of the accused is going on. He said that a case is being registered and investigation is being done in this regard.
