Police said that two policemen were killed by militants in Baghat area at the high-security airport here on Friday. A police official said the militants shot the two policemen closely, rushing them to the hospital where they both succumbed.
They identified the slain policemen as constables Sohail and Mohammad Yusuf. The official said that security forces have launched an operation to track the attackers.

This is the second attack in the city in the last three days. Militants shot and injured the son of a restaurant owner in the city’s high-security-desolate area on Wednesday.
The attacks came in the form of a 24-member delegation of envoys from various countries of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday to assess the ground situation in the Union Territory.
