Tomorrow will be the inauguration of the third phase of PM Modi’s Skill Development Scheme

New Delhi: The third phase of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 3.0) will be launched tomorrow in 600 districts of all states of the country. This phase, led by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), will focus on new-age and Covid-related skills.

Skill India Mission PMKVY 3.0 envisages training eight lakh candidates during the plan period 2020-2021 with an outlay of Rs 948.90 crore. 729 Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKK), non-PMKK training centers enlisted under Skill India, and more than 200 ITIs will introduce PMKVY 3.0 training to create a strong pool of skilled professionals. Based on the training received from PMKVY 1.0 and PMKVY 2.0, the Ministry has reformed this new version of the training to conform to the existing policy principle and energize the skills ecosystem affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

This phase will begin with Dr. Mahendranath Pandey, Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The Minister of State, Shri Raj Kumar Singh will also be present on the occasion. The Minister of State for Skill Development and Member of Parliament will also address the event.
