New Delhi: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today mentioned the richness of the Urdu language and said, “Urdu is one of the most beautiful languages ​​spoken all over the world.” Underlining the importance of mother tongue, he urged people to always speak in their mother tongue. The Vice President noted that Hyderabad in particular and the entire Deccan have been ancient centers of Urdu.

Naidu told senior journalist J. s. Iftikhar’s book ‘Urdu Poets and Writers – Gems of Deccan’. Apart from this, he met the director of Telangana State Language and Culture Department, Mameidi Harikrishna, with former Prime Minister P.V. Also received a book on Narasimha Rao, Manavottama Rama by Satyakashi Bhargava and Nallagonda Katalu by Mallikarjuna.

‘James of Deccan’ is an anthology of prose and poetry that encapsulates the lives and works of 51 outstanding poets and writers of the Deccan region. The book traces the rich literary and cultural traditions of the Deccan from the time of Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the founder of Hyderabad, to the present day.

Former Prime Minister Late P.V. Appreciating the Telangana government for publishing a book on Narasimha Rao, the Vice President urged all the state governments to bring out such publications on local and regional personalities so that the younger generation can be made aware of them.

Naidu lauded the author of ‘Manavottama Rama’ for his efforts to portray the qualities of Lord Shri Ram as an ideal human. He said that the values ​​and virtues of Lord Rama are relevant forever.

Receiving the book ‘Nallagonda Katalu’, the Vice President stressed on the need to write and popularize rural folk tales and local stories to preserve them for future generations. He called for similar initiatives in publishing children’s literature, whose origins lie in our daily lives.

The Vice President lauded the authors for their efforts to bring these books to the fore and extended his best wishes to them.
