Urvashi Rautela elected as National Ambassador for ‘Mission Pani Jal Shakti’ water campaign

New Delhi: Actress Urvashi Rautela has been named as the nationwide ambassador for ‘Mission Pani Jal Shakti’ water conservation campaign.

The actress has fought against the water crisis through her Urvashi Rautela Foundation, an organization she co-founded with her parents and has helped hundreds of communities in Uttarakhand, Pauri, Garhwal and Haridwar to provide clean and safe water and water. have helped in achieving access to sanitation.

Urvashi said: “I am grateful to have had all these world-class opportunities in my life, from judging Miss Universe 2021 to being the jury at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival and finally now.

“With a population of 1.38 billion people, India is the second most populous country in the world. More than 6 per cent of this population does not have access to safe water and about 15 per cent of India’s population defecates in the open.

“In India and around the world, millions of people are navigating the COVID pandemic with the added challenge of living without access to safe water. Now access to safe water is critical to the health of families in India.”

The actress said that this year her wish is to mobilize resources and share knowledge to increase access to better sanitation and safe water as water is the driving force of all nature.

He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media for giving him this opportunity.

She wrote: “Thank you to the Prime Minister of India @narendramodi ji and Jal Shakti Water Conservation Minister @gssjodhpur ji for giving me this world class opportunity.”

On the work front, Urvashi was last seen judging the Miss Universe pageant 2021, and she also received appreciation for her international song ‘Versace Baby’ with Arab superstar Mohamed Ramzan.

Urvashi will soon be seen in Jio Studios’ web series ‘Inspector Avinash’ opposite Randeep Hooda in the lead role.

The actress is all set to play the lead role in the Hindi remake of ‘Thiruttu Payal 2’ with the bilingual thriller ‘Black Rose’.

Urvashi will make her Tamil debut with ‘The Legend’ opposite Saravana and has also signed a three-film contract with Jio Studios and T-Series.
