13 killed in Chakrata road accident; Vehicle fell into a ditch in Chakrata Uttarakhand

Dehradun: A painful accident happened on Sunday in Chakrata, Uttarakhand. The accident happened around 10 am on Tuni Road, a remote area of ​​Chakrata. Chakrata area comes in Dehradun district, where 13 people were killed, 3 seriously injured after a vehicle fell into a deep gorge. The injured are being treated in the hospital. Local people and NDRF team are engaged in relief and rescue work on the spot.

Local people said that the vehicle going from Bayla village of Bharam Khat of Chakrata to Vikasnagar fell into a deep gorge in front of the village on Baila-Pinguwa road on Sunday morning.

13 bodies recovered
According to preliminary information, there were 16 people in the said vehicle. 13 people have died in the accident and three people are said to be seriously injured. Bodies of 13 dead have been recovered.

Relief work being done by local people
The police-administration has been informed. At present, relief work is being done by the local people. On receiving the information, the relief team of SDRF, District Police and Fire Brigade from Dehradun had left for the spot. SP Rural Swatantra Kumar Singh has given this information.

SDM Chakrata Saurabh Aswal said that a team from Chakrata and Tuni tehsil has reached the spot for relief and rescue work for the accident.
