15,000 people will be able to visit Mata Vaishno Devi from 1st November

New Delhi: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has increased the number of daily devotees from 7 thousand to 15 thousand with effect from 1 November 2020 for the Darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi. Under the guidelines, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has prepared to start the system with permission from the State Executive Committee. The special thing is that there is no limit for local and other states in the number of 15,000 pilgrims scheduled for daily. According to the news agency ANI, from 1st November, 2020, the limit of travellers visiting the Mata Vaishno Devi temple has been increased from 7000 per day to 15,000.

Currently, only 7 thousand devotees can visit every day, in which the maximum for other states has been abolished. Now the first 15 thousand devotees to register online will be allowed to visit. Corona Negative Report will be mandatory for visitors.

During Navratri, about 7000 devotees were reaching the court of Mother Vaishno Devi every day. But at present only about 3000 devotees are reaching the darshan of the mother’s darshan. Around 1300 devotees had left for the Vaishno Devi Yatra by 3 pm on Tuesday. Of these, 300 pilgrims availed the helicopter service. All facilities from base camp Katra to Ma Vaishno Devi Bhavan are being made available to devotees. These include helicopter service, battery car service and passenger cable car service.
