New Delhi: Tina Dabi and Athar Khan, who took the first and second rank of the UPSC Exam in 2015, came into the limelight when they decided to get married. Once again this pair is in the headlines. But this time the reason is completely different, yes Tina Dabi and her husband IAS Athar Khan have filed for divorce by mutual consent in a family court in Jaipur. The court will hear the divorce application in the next few days. Let me tell you that Tina Dabi married her batch IAS Athar Aamir Khan in 2018.
Let me tell you that both are IAS officers of 2016 batch. In 2018, both of them got married, which was very much discussed. Tina, who was the topper in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2015, married Athar in April 2018. Athar hails from Kashmir who finished second in the UPSC exam 2015. Currently both Tina and Athar are officers of Rajasthan cadre.
What led to the controversy
After Tina Dabi’s removal of the word ‘Khan’ from her name on social media, the marriage of both of them reached the verge of breaking up some time ago. Around the same time, Athar unfollowed Tina on Instagram. After this, Tina also unfollowed her husband Athar with her tweeter. However, both are following each other right now. Along with this, Tina had also removed the name Kashmiri Bahu from her Instagram bio after removing the name Khan in front of her name after marriage.
Living apart for a long time
In the application given by both, they said that they have been living apart for a long time. Also, now they do not want to continue their marriage. So they have decided to divorce by mutual consent.
Close proximity was increased during training
Tina Dabi, who topped the UPSC examination in the year 2015 and Athar Aamir, who stood second, had become very close during training. After a relationship lasting for a year, both of them got married in the year 2018. His marriage ceremony was attended by Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, then Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Both are currently posted in Jaipur. Tina Dabi serves as Joint Secretary and Aamir CEO EGS in Joint Governments Secretary Finance (Tax) Department, Jaipur.
