Aadhaar card update window open till March 14; Check Process Online, Offline

Every Indian citizen should have their Aadhar Card error free as it serves as the best proof of their demographic information. It consists of a unique 12-digit number, which is linked to the biometrics of the individual.

This can be done online through the UIDAI portal and also by visiting the Aadhaar Enrollment Centre. Apart from basic information like name, address, mobile number, email ID, gender and date of birth, people will be able to link the new biometrics (fingerprint and iris) to their existing cards.

Individuals have to submit the required documents that serve as proof of updated information. The window will remain open till March 14. If there is any clerical error in an Aadhaar card, it can also be re-verified during this period.

How to update Aadhaar card online through “My Aadhaar” portal of UIDAI:

-Visit the official site of UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in/.

-Go to My Aadhaar portal from the homepage and log in using the OTP (One-Time Password) received on the Aadhaar number and registered mobile number.

-Please consider the information displayed in your profile.

-If the details are correct then tick the box saying “I verify that the above details are correct”.

-If any error is found in the demographic information, select the identity document from the drop-down menu that you want to share as proof.
