Amarinder Singh will form his own political party, eye on NDA alliance

Singh’s media advisor Raveen Thukral quoted Singh as saying on Twitter that he is hopeful of a seat pact with the BJP in the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections if the farmers’ protest is resolved in the interest of the farmers.

Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is in no mood to resign. After being formally removed, he is showing more patience than his opponents expected.

On Tuesday, he announced that he would soon launch his own political outfit and hinted at a possible alliance with the BJP for the 2022 state elections, if the Center withdraws three agriculture laws.
