Baahubali’s Katappa aka Sathyaraj hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19 in Chennai

According to reports, veteran actor Sathyaraj has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. The actor was brought to the hospital on January 7 and is now undergoing treatment. After testing positive for Covid-19, the actor was put under home quarantine.

The ‘Baahubali’ actor is yet to make a formal announcement on his health. Sathyaraj was reportedly shifted to the hospital following severe symptoms.

Several Telugu film personalities and actresses have tested positive for Covid-19 in the recent few days. Those affected include Mahesh Babu, Manchu Manoj, Manchu Laxmi, music director Taman, Nitin’s wife and actor Vishwa Sen. On January 7, actress Trisha said that she had tested positive for Covid-19. Despite getting vaccinated and doing everything she could to prevent the disease, she remained affected.

Several celebrities from the Tamil cinema industry including Kamal Haasan, Chiyan Vikram, Vadivelu and Trisha Krishnan have recently contracted the coronavirus.

Several film production programs have been affected as a result of the rising number of COVID-19 cases. The theatrical releases of some films have also been postponed. The much-awaited multilingual film ‘RRR’ starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan has also been postponed due to COVID-19. The film directed by SS Rajamouli was set to hit the Indian cinemas on January 7.
