Bengal election: Another Coronavirus victim, RSP MLA candidate Pradeep Kumar Nandi dies

“The revolutionary Socialist Party candidate Pradeep Kumar Nandi, who tested positive for COVID-19 four years ago, died in a hospital here on Friday,” a health department official said.

He said that Nandi, 73-year-old party candidate from Jangipur assembly constituency in Murshidabad district in the West Bengal assembly elections, was isolated from Nandi Gruh and taken to Berhampur Hospital on Thursday night after his condition deteriorated.

A Health Department official said that Revolutionary Socialist Party candidate Pradeep Kumar Nandi, who tested positive for COVID-19, died four days ago.

He said that Nandi, 73 years old, was the party’s candidate from Jangipur assembly constituency in Murshidabad district in the West Bengal assembly elections, had isolation at home and was rushed to Berhampur hospital after his condition deteriorated on Thursday night.

The officer said that he had comradeity and died in a medical facility at around 6 pm.

Congress candidate from Samirganj Assembly constituency Rezaul Haq, who tested positive for COVID-19, died on Thursday in a hospital in Kolkata.
