Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 crossed the Rs 100 crore; ahead of Top Gun mark on its second Saturday

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 extended its second weekend lead over Top Gun: Maverick with many more at the box office on Saturday. The Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, horror-comedy directed by Kiara Advani and directed by Anees Bazmee looks unstoppable as the second Saturday with Sunday recorded in double digits, with the first day expected to be even higher. Tom Cruise Leads Top Gun: Maverick Ayushmann Khurrana-led Manyk, directed by Anubhav Sinha, turns into a moist squib without any growth on Saturday.

The Anees Bazmee directorial made around Rs. 11.25 – Rs. 11.35 crore nett to tally on its second Saturday. The film officially earned Rs. 100 crore net club and the film has Rs. There’s a lot of steam left to pass. 150 crore mark. The second Saturday’s jump suggests a blockbuster trend, but it is still too early to give that verdict as next Friday is the release of Akshay Kumar-led Samrat Prithviraj, which is expected to take quite good screens.

Top Gun: Maverick registered an increase of 80 per cent over Friday at Rs. Net of 4.5 crores which is a good sign. Hollywood movies generally don’t grow to such an extent but the Tom Cruise star has managed it. The opening was poor so Saturday’s jump will give some respite to exhibitors and distributors across India. Top Gun: The Maverick may have had a slow start in India, but its domestic debut is nothing but extraordinary. It is expected to reach $160 million in the first four days and become the biggest Memorial Day weekend opener ever.

The Ayushmann Khurrana-led socio-political action drama has turned out to be a massive disappointment at the box office. The film didn’t move on Saturdays which is inevitable for some sort of stability on weekdays. Flat Saturday seals the fate for the film. This is the second back-to-back dramatic disaster for the Andhadhun actor and it is time to think.
