Addressing the NDA parliamentary party meeting on Friday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that after PM Modi comes to power, Bihar’s pending work and development will be completed. This made everyone including PM Modi laugh out loud in the parliamentary meeting.
“All the pending work of Bihar will be completed. It is a very good thing that we all have come together and we will all work together with you (PM Modi). You will take oath as the Prime Minister on Sunday, but I wanted you to take oath today itself. Whenever you take oath, we will be with you…we will all work together under your leadership.”
Earlier today, when NDA leaders arrived at the Central Hall of the old Parliament House for the parliamentary party meeting, the Janata Dal United (U) chief was seen touching Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s feet as a mark of respect.
As NDA leaders gathered in Parliament to appoint Modi as the leader of the alliance, Bihar CM Nitish extended his support, saying he and his party will always stand with the NDA government. At today’s parliamentary party meeting, senior members of the alliance, including TDP’s N Chandrababu Naidu, JD(U)’s Nitish Kumar and Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde, accompanied the PM to meet President Draupadi Murmu and present the list of MPs supporting him. “The NDA government under PM Modi will take the country forward The NDA has 293 MPs, well above the majority mark of 272 in the 543-member Lok Sabha.
