New Delhi: Violence broke out between Shiv Sena and SAD (Amritsar) workers over anti-Khalistan protest in Punjab’s Patiala.

To maintain law and order, the policemen deployed on the spot had to open fire and use tear gas shells. Clashes broke out between two groups near the Kali Devi temple in Patiala today.

In a video going viral on social media, pro-Khalistan supporters waved swords and pelted stones at Shiv Sena workers.

The Shiv Sena had today decided to take out a protest march after Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu issued a decree to put up flags at DC offices in Haryana.

April 29 is Khalistan Basis Day.

Responding to this, Shiv Sena’s Punjab working president Harish Singla announced that his party would take out an anti-Khalistan march in Patiala on April 29.
