Corona Advisory: Can Corona be prevented by bathing or drinking hot water?

New Delhi: Corona virus infection is spreading rapidly in the country. Meanwhile, people are engaged in adopting all kinds of domestic tricks to avoid this virus.

Many people have said on social media that Corona virus infection can be avoided by bathing or drinking with hot water. In response to this myth, the Central Government gave an explanation on this through the Twitter handle of mygovindia on Saturday.

The myth is that bathing with hot water or drinking hot water will not cause Covid-19. The center pointed out on the fact that this action does not kill the virus nor is it a cure for the disease. It states that a temperature of 60–75 degrees is required in lab settings to kill the corona virus.

The government has also suggested a Five Step Meal Plan (Meal Plan) for those recovering from the disease. It has said that this meal plan will increase immunity and help people recover from weakness and fatigue after having corona. The government said that breakfast should include ragi dosa or a bowl of porridge. Jaggery and ghee have also been advised during or after lunch.

Recently, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has dispelled the myth that it was claimed that injecting two drops of lemon juice into the nose can completely eliminate Covid-19 in the body.

Bolo India, made in India, has created a live streaming platform in association with mygovindia to launch a large-scale awareness program for users residing in Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities of the country. The partnership aims to assist the center’s efforts in fighting the corono virus crisis.

Government’s “Five Step Meal Plan”

  1. Start the day by consuming soaked almonds and raisins. Almonds are a rich source of protein and raisins provide a good amount of iron.
  2. Ragi dosa or a bowl of porridge is the best option for breakfast.
  3. Jaggery and ghee can be eaten during or after lunch. At the same time, both these things can also be eaten by mixing it with roti.
  4. Take simple khichdi at dinner time as it contains all the necessary nutrients. This khichdi is mild to the intestine and is helpful for good sleep.
  5. It is important to stay hydrated. In addition to water, you should include homemade lemon juice and buttermilk in your routine.
