New Delhi: There is a continuous decrease in the daily new cases in India. During the last 24 hours 62,224 daily new cases were registered across the country. Today, for the ninth consecutive day, new cases remained below one lakh on a daily basis. This is the result of the concerted efforts of the Center and the States/UTs. There is also a steady decline in active cases in India. The number of active cases in the country today stood at 8,65,432. After 70 days, the Kovid cases have reached below nine lakh. A total decrease of 47,946 was observed in active cases during the last 24 hours. Active cases are now just 2.92 percent of the total positive cases in the country.
More and more people are recovering from Kovid-19, on the basis of which the number of people recovering daily remained more than the new cases for the 34th consecutive day. During the last 24 hours, 1,07,628 patients were cured.
In the last 24 hours, more than 45 thousand (45,404) recoveries were recorded against the daily new cases.
Of those infected since the beginning of the epidemic, 2,83,88,100 people have recovered from Kovid-19. In the last 24 hours, 1,07,628 people became healthy. In this way, the recovery rate is 95.80 percent, in which the trend of increasing is being seen.
There has been a significant increase in the testing capacity in the country, on the basis of which a total of 19,30,987 tests were conducted in the country during the last 24 hours. So far, a total of more than 38.33 crore (38,33,06,971) tests have been conducted in India.
On the one hand, the testing capacity was increased in the country, while on the other hand there was also a steady decrease in the weekly positive rate. At present, the weekly positivity rate is 4.17 percent, while the daily positivity rate is 3.22 percent today. It remained at less than five per cent for the ninth consecutive day.
India crossed 26 crore vaccination coverage mark yesterday. According to the report received till 7 am today, a total of 26,19,72,014 doses of the vaccine were administered through 36,17,099 sessions. 28,00,458 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
