New Delhi: Corona vaccination campaign has gained momentum in India and as per provisional report till 7 am today, more than 5.5 crore (5,55,04,440) vaccines have been given through 9,01,887 sessions. These include 80,34,547 health workers (first dose), 51,04,398 health workers (second dose), 85,99,981 frontline workers (first dose) and 33,98,570 frontline workers (second dose). 55,99,772 beneficiaries (first dose) are those who are over 45 years of age and are suffering from some form of illness. There are more than 2,47,67,172 beneficiaries over 60 years of age.
The contribution of 8 states is more than 60 percent of the total corona vaccination conducted in the country so far.
According to the preliminary report, more than 23 lakh (23,58,731) vaccine doses were given on March 25, 2021, on the 69th day of Kovid-19 vaccination across the country. Of these, 21,54,934 health workers and frontline workers were given the first vaccine dose and 2,03,797 health workers and frontline workers were given the second dose of vaccine through 40,595 sessions.
The contribution of 10 states is about 70 percent in the last 24 hours of vaccination.
Five states, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat recorded an increase in daily new cases of corona and 59,118 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra has the highest number of 35,952 new cases followed by Punjab with 2,661 cases and Karnataka with 2,523 cases.
Coronation cases are being reported in 10 states.
The active cases (case load) of corona in the country today is 4.21 lakh (4,21,066). There has been an increase of 25,874 cases in total active cases (case load) in the last 24 hours.
The three states of Maharashtra, Kerala and Punjab contribute 73.64 per cent of the total active cases of corona in the country.
The total number of people recovering from corona in India today stands at 1,12,64,637. The national recovery rate is 95.09 percent.
In the last 24 hours, 32,987 people have recovered.
There have been 257 deaths from Corona in the last 24 hours.
6 states account for 78.6 percent of the new deaths from Corona. Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths from 111 people in Corona and the figure is 43 in Punjab.
Fourteen states / union territories have not reported any deaths from Kovid-19 in the last 24 hours. These states / union territories include Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir (Union Territory), Jharkhand, Odisha, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Sikkim, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Ladakh (Union Territory), Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Andaman and The Nicobar Islands and Arunachal Pradesh are included.
